Day 01 : Arrival Chennai
Upon arrival, you will be greeted by our representative. Drive to Mahabalipuram, overnight will be at hotel.Day 02 : Mahabalipuram
After your leisurely breakfast, Rest of your day is free for the gorgeous beaches & relaxation.
Day 03 : Mahabalipuram
Today we will explore the ancient city of Mahabalipuram which offers the superb combination of unique monuments & fine beaches. There are magnificent Rock cut monuments like the Five Rathas, Arjuna’s Penance collectively known as the Shore Temple. Later enjoy the beaches.
Day 04 : Mahabalipuam – Tanjore
We will drive to Tanjore, enroute we will see Gangaikondacholapuram & Darasuram. Both of these are beautifully sculptured temple complexes. Overnight stay at the hotel.
Day 05 : Tanjore – Madurai
Morning, we will visit the Brihadisvara Temple built n 1000 A.D. This temple is overwhelming in its boldness of conception, its perfect symmetry & the finesse with which it has been built. Then we proceed to Madurai.
Day 06 : Madurai – Ooty
After your breakfast we will go Meenakshi temple. Its multi colored gopuram, the hall of 1000 pillars are the splendid example of Dravian architecture. We will drive to Ooty.
Day 07 : Ooty – Mysore It is known the “Queen of the Hill station”. It has serene natural beauty & many botanical gardens. Experience the surrounding while boating on the lake. Later in the evening we will proceed to Mysore.
Day 08 : Mysore-Chikmagalur
After breakfast, we will do the sight seeing of the city. We will start with Maharaja’s Palace which is built in Indo-saracenic style with elegant domes & beautiful interiors. We will visit Chamundi Hills and later we will visit Brindavan Gardens. Afterwards we will leave for Chikmagalur.
Day 09 : Chikmagalur- Badami
Chikmagalur is a picturesque place, with coffee rows, waterfalls, rivers and the bracing mountains. We will then proceed our journey to Badami.
Day 10 : Badami
Today we will explore Badami, which is world-famous for its magnificent cave complex. It is located in a ravine at the foot of a rugged, red sandstone outcrop that surrounds Agastya lake. Experience the rock cut complex of sandstone of the 540-750 AD.
Day 11 : Badami- Hospet
After breakfast, we will drive to Hospet. Enroute we will visit Pattadakal & Aihole. The cluster of temples at Pattadakal were constructed in 750 AD, they have exceptionally beautiful sculptures & impressive courtyards. Aihole (20 kms from Pattadakal) has numerous Jain & Hindus temples, which range in style. We will continue our journey to Hospet, overnight will be at the hotel.
Day 12 : Hospet- Hassan We will do the sightseeing of Hospet which is the nearest town to Hampi. Hampi is one of the magnificent ruined towns of the world. The remains of the ancient city are spread over a vast area of 26 kms. Drive to Hassan, on reaching your day is free.
Day 13 : Hassan-Bangalore-Depart
Early morning we will start the city tour of Hassan which forms the most convenient base to visit Hoysala temples at Halebid & Belur. These temples were built in 12th century and have many sculpted figures of animals, dancers, musicians. Temples mark the height of artistic creation at the time. In time drive to Bangalore and get transferred to airport for your flight back home.
